Message from the President

Dear Community Supporters, Alumni, Parents, Fans, Teachers and Staff;

I write this letter to you because we all share a commonality, we all bleed red literally and in spirit. You have a connection to Kathleen, some of you teach or have taught at Kathleen, some have students or had students at Kathleen, or some of you have attended Kathleen, whatever the case may be; together we form the RED DEVIL Nation. In whatever role you have played throughout the years you have helped to lay a solid foundation on which we currently stand. Lets not forget that this is the school that has produced acclaimed student athletes such as David Bowden, once the state and national record holder for touchdown passes thrown in a career and season; Super Bowl MVP, Ray Lewis; Former Baltimore Oriole Pitcher, Alan Mills; NFL veteran Tight-End and local philanthropist, Desmond Clark; and two time Super Bowl Champion, Kenny Gant. This list can go on and on; however, the spirit and pride that once consumed every Red Devil young and old has seemed to have gone dormant in recent years.

The Kathleen Athletic Booster Club which serves as the main financial backbone of all athletic programs on the campus of Kathleen High School has been reenergized over the course of the past year. However, it will take the entire Red Devil Nation to catapult us back into orbit. We need your spirit, your energy, and your support. I see Kathleen’s potential for greatness. I see coaches investing all their resources to ensure that students are productive citizens. I see the dedication of KHS’ teachers and staff. I also see a growing sense of pride among the students. Join me today in sharing this vision for the Red Devil Nation. I ask all those that bleed RED and White, all those that care about our students, and all those who love Kathleen to stand up and get involved. We all have busy schedules, but a little sacrifice will go a long way to ensure that our students succeed.

There are so many areas where your talent and time can be used. Your support can be shown by attending some of the many events held at Kathleen, or by simply showing your school pride.
We are planning some exciting events for the red devil nation in the upcoming 2011-2012 school season. We want to make sure that you are included.
